Teamwork is an essential factor to success. I remembered when I am in sec school, we won most of the time because of teamwork. Yesterday, both teams in my class won the first and second place in captain's ball and won 70 dollars Swensens voucher in total.
Team B: Min Hui, Jerald, Wen Bin, Andrew, Mabel, Luck Koon, Eldred
Team E: Audrey, Allen, Jiong Zhen, How Cher, Huiqi, Thar Hwe, Jia Min and me
Match started with the team B playing. They lose the lead at first but after Eldred was substituted in, they started scoring like hell. We won.
Next is the first match of my team. Guess who I face? Joseph's team. Wa! All so big size de, especially Joseph. Just kidding cos got some that was bigger than him. Joseph is the one standing on the chair. Lol. Match started and not even one minute, How Cher was injured. Jiong Zhen came in and wow Allen and him had great chemistry. We won.
Then they announced that we have to face each other? Then realised was a mistake. Continued playing and we keep winning, dare not say thrashing cos every team is strong. As usual, the first thing we said after seeing our competitors is wa so big size. Cos our group only Allen and Jiong Zhen big size, the rest all the same size as me, except Huiqi.
Then rained at 4 plus. Waited until 5 plus before we resumed. Then at semi'finals, we faced each other. It started to drizzle again so we decided for a walk-over in order not to waste time. Winner goes straight into the finals. Loser goes into loser pitch and played 2 rounds in order to go finals.
Our team goes to the loser pitch. That match I never play cos they divided the time into 1 half only. We won.
Then our last opponent before finals. I played and during the match, somebody rammed me in my stomach and caused me to fall backwards but luckily, passed the ball backwards and landed on my hands. I think Huiqi caught it cos I heard cheers and things like go Huiqi. That match was a tough one because the score is 2-1., unlike the first match that the other team got, 22-15.
Yeah both teams went into the finals, creating history to be the first few year 1 to win, first class to win both spots in the finals and we beat evry team. This is because we had a chance to face all the teams as we had 2 groups, even though every class sent 2 groups.
Good teamwork everyone. Hope we have another event like this next time.
