End of 2012, not the end of the world.
I would like to take some time to reflect on everything that has happened during the year.
The year started when I was still an intern in Ernst & Young. Gosh, it sounds so long ago. Nice working environment, nice colleagues, nice events, nice food etc during my stay there. Not to mention, I was really lucky to have 13 other course mates being posted into the same company as me. Have someone to go with for lunch, talk about work and discuss about SIP reports too.
Then internship ended and we went back to reality, studies. Well, only had one module left and that is the toughest module yet. Took my last exam and submitted my last project in poly. Goodbye poly, I have graduated.
Then there was the 1A06 gathering at my house on 26th February, the first time I invited my friends over for a steamboat gathering. It was definitely fun and I hope that something similar will happen again.
2 days later, I immediately went job hunting with Allen, Jerald and Wenbin. Recruit Express. Can't believe I still remember all these, even the dates. I typed everything without referring to anything. Everything just came out of my head. After a few days, or a few weeks which I cannot remember, I found a job as an analyst in Bank Mandiri. Spent the remaining of March resting and catching up with friends. Oh and I was addicted to the anime "Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo". Spent around a month catching all 148 episodes of the anime and all the live action series and the 3 movies.
March 20th to May 19th was one of the darkest period in 2012. Not saying that the job wasn't good. I learnt a lot from the job. Just that the human relationship there was really bad. Although everyone was good to me, there were arrows flying around everywhere. I was fighting everything all by myself so I know how to manage my own emotions and handle stuffs independently. A growing up phase.
May 23rd, graduation day. One of the memorable days in my life. We have grduated and we took away 3 years of knowledge, 3 years of skills, as well as 3 years of life skills which is very useful to us. One milestone reached.
For the remaining of May and the whole of June, I started watching running man. Spent almost 4 to 6 hours a day watching running man. Finished all 100 episodes before June ended. During that period, I became so obsessed that I eat, drink and breathe running man.
Then started job hunting. Found a job in Asia Capital Reinsurance. Initially, I did not want to work there. Wanted to find a job somewhere else. In the end, still decided to work there. Started work on July 5th and ended work on October 4th. During these 3 months, I enjoyed myself. I like the job scope, I like the human relationship there and I like the working environment. September 3rd was a very special day. It was her first day working there. Even though someone else guided her, I also tried my best to help her. Eventually, we started to have lunch together, OT together and leave office together. Sometimes, we are the last 2 to leave office. Eventually, we met early for breakfast. On my last day, she went with me to submit timesheet and had dinner together. Even though I stopped working there, I still went back to have breakfast or dinner with her. Sometimes I will drop by to meet her and ex-colleagues for lunch.
Spent the remaining of October resting. Cycled twice. Once with Joseph and Wilson. Once with her. Went to many places to eat with family. Seems like whenever I have a long break, I will be hooked on to a particular show. During October, I was addicted to a Japanese comedy called "Gaki no tsukai" It was pure comedy and it was gold. First time I laughed badly for every episode I watched.
Then I enlisted n October 30th. It was a completely different yet new experience for me. However, my section mates were awesome. Always reminded each other, even though it was minor stuff. My buddy was good too. Always helped me. Field camp, route marches, IPPT. You name it, he plays a part to help me. By the way, he was the company best when it comes to 2.4km running. A perfect trainer.
All in all, this was the year with major changes. Quite a fruitful year. 2013 will start with me passing out from BMT. Hope life will be smooth from there onwards.
When I say "Yes", people say "Yes". When I say "No", people continue to say "Yes". When I say "No" louder, people screamed "Yes"!

Last week of the year.
Last bookout.
Last week in Tekong.
So many lasts. POP next week. Although many people are looking forward to it, I am slightly now so looking forward to it because I will miss the life here in Tekong. My awesome section mates for one, my awesome platoon mates for 2, and the nice sergeants and officers here for three even though we always get punished.
I must admit, I am quite a lucky guy. Awesome secondary school mates, awesome poly mates, awesome section mates. All got along well. Even thought here may be friction sometimes, it only serve as a means to strengthen our bonds. For the past 8 weeks, I managed to survive mostly because of my buddies and section mates. Now, it is almost time to say goodbye and some of us already missed each other. Oh I think I sound gay lol.
Learnt one thing in army "I don't believe nothing can be solved without money!" Haha this is one the quotes our section used. Because there is a filthy rich kid in our section who would treat us generously. Fair enough haha.
Oh ya, not to mention the long bookout. 5 days! Have to enjoy this!

Christmas eve!
2 more weeks to POP!
6 more working days to POP!
14 more minutes to Christmas!
You see, by looking at all the statistics, it shows how fast time passed. It is the end of the year already and it does not seem like a year had passed. Not sure why, but time seems to pass faster as we aged.
Anyway, put the army stuff aside. I know my BMT life quite xiong but I am used to it le. Which is good in a way so that if I get into a not so xiong unit, I will definitely cherish it. Saturday was the first time in BMT I overslept. Was supposed to wake up at 3.30am. Had it not been my buddy waking me up to go toilet, I will have overslept even more. Wait, he went back to sleep after returning from toilet. Checked the time and it was 4.30am. Overslept by an hour yet I was still the first to woke up. Ironic isn't it?
On a side note, I have never felt so comfortable being alone with a girl before. So maybe this is the special feeling everyone is talking about? Feels quite good and happy whenever I am with her :)
