Let me start this post by wishing everyone a wonderful rabbit year ahead and may you leap further and faster than the rabbit. Let me add on by saying kong hei fat choy, huge chicken huge strength, red luck on your head, round money rolling and finally, horse to the success. If you can decipher all this, it means that you have command to both the English and Chinese language.
New Year eve:
Basically, last minute touches to the house, windows, bedsheets, windows etc. Quite tiring but fun. It was approaching evening time and we finished around that time. After that, to Uncle's house for reunion dinner. It was steamboat lol.
1st day of the new year:
Went to both the maternal and paternal house to bai nian. Dad played mahjong with his brothers and father. Just a thought, I almost typed brothers and fathers. Choy touch wood. The 3 of us fell asleep halfway. Hahas.
Steamboat for dinner. After that, went to the house of my dad's best friend. It was until after midnight did we reached home.
2nd day of the new year:
Sister was vomitting and had diarrhoea and my mum stayed back to look after her. Hence, only 3 of us went out that day. That day was basically visiting some of the places the lion dance troupe went together with wushu masters. Went to one of their house before setting off to the chairman's house.
Had buffet for lunch there. Lion dance troupe came. Dragon dance first followed by lion dance. After that, went home to fetch mum and sis before setting off to my uncle's house to watch lion dance there. it had already started when we arrived.
At night, went to my dad's sis house followed by his best friend's sister's house. Lol. Reached home at around 11pm.
3rd day of the new year:
Wanted to do to my mum's best friend's house but she was not at home so was home almost all day. Went to River Hongbao at night.
4th day of the new year:
Went to one of the bosses company who is related to the wushu kwan as he had invited us to watch lion dance there. Was at home doing tutorials in the afternoon. Finished, CRA, IF and taxation tutorials during the 5 days, which is good as we are all in the celebration mood.
At night, my relatives from my mother's side will have an annual new year dinner. Went to one of their house to gather. My family and my aunt, who lived next block went together. All 9 of us managed to squeeze into the van.
After everyone had gathered, watched a movie and "AI" before the 21 of us went to Orchard in 3 vans and a car. A fun journey as it was a van after a van. However one of the vans took another road halfway and the car was too fast so we are separated.
Reached the place and all 4 vehicles parked at the same time. What a coincidence lol.
Had a vegetarian dinner at "ling zhi" as some of the relatives are vegetarian. After a hearty meal, the 9 of us squeezed and went home.
